Hi, I'm Farhad Kamali.
I'm building technology that helps children grow—not simply consume.
I believe childhood deserves better technology.
That's why I founded BornFab: a mission to help children replace passive screen time with curiosity, learning and healthier digital habits.
My long-term goal isn't simply to build an app. It's to help create a future where every child has the opportunity to learn, regardless of where they live.
My Story
I was born in Afghanistan and now live in the United Kingdom.
Throughout my career I've built businesses in games, health and technology. Each one taught me something fundamentally different about people.
- •Games taught me how experiences bring people together.
- •Health taught me the importance of trust.
- •Technology taught me that every design decision shapes human behaviour.
Eventually one question began to outweigh every business opportunity:
"What kind of technology genuinely helps children become better humans?"
That question became BornFab. Today my work is focused on helping families build healthier relationships with technology while supporting children to become more curious, capable and confident learners.
I believe technology should earn children's attention by helping them grow—not by making it harder to look away.
Why I Built BornFab
Every day, millions of families have the same argument.
"Five more minutes."
"Put your phone away."
"Homework first."
I realised the real problem wasn't children. It wasn't parents. It was the design of technology itself. Most digital products compete for children's attention. Very few deserve it.
I wanted to build something different. BornFab doesn't ask children to spend less time with technology. It gives them a better reason to use it.
By turning learning into the gateway to recreation, children gradually build healthier habits while parents step out of the exhausting role of screen-time police.
That simple shift changes everything.

Looking Ahead
My ambition isn't simply to build software. I'm building a long-term movement around childhood, learning and digital wellbeing.
Through BornFab we're creating educational technology, research, storytelling and global initiatives like Learning Without Borders to help families and communities support children in an increasingly digital world.
If our work inspires educators, parents, researchers, creators or organisations to join that mission, we'd love to hear from you.
